A Carmelite-tradition resin incense honoring Our Lady of Mount Carmel, blending desert rose with warm cedar.
The composition draws its character from Mount Carmel itself, the ridge above Haifa where, according to Scripture, the prophet Elijah encountered God in fire and where the first Carmelite hermits gathered in the late 12th century to live a contemplative life under Mary's patronage. Cedar carries the dry, sun-warmed character of the Holy Land; desert rose adds a soft floral lift. The intensity sits at the lower end of the scale — well suited to personal prayer, the rosary, and quiet chapel use.
Devotion to Our Lady of Mount Carmel is closely tied to the Brown Scapular, given according to Carmelite tradition to Saint Simon Stock in 1251. Her feast falls each July 16th, and her title remains one of the most widely venerated Marian invocations across the Catholic world.
