The green grains carry the warm, sweet-spicy character of the Esperança resin: clove and cinnamon layered over a base of olibanum, the biblical frankincense. The blend was created in partnership with Fazenda da Esperança, the Catholic recovery community founded in 1983 by Father Hans Stapel in Guaratinguetá, São Paulo. The green of the grains signals the hope that gives the resin its name, and a portion of each sale supports the Fazenda's work with people in recovery from addiction.
