A light, ocean-fresh resin incense composed at a gentle 2/5 intensity, with a perfume that recalls the invigorating breeze of the open sea.
The blend was created in prayer communion with the Comunidade Católica Mar a Dentro and takes its name from Luke 5:4, where Jesus tells Peter to put out into deep water and let down the nets. It is composed as an invitation to confident prayer — a fragrance of trust and missionary courage, calling the one who prays to advance into the deep of divine mercy and return to the brothers and sisters with the Good News.
The phrase Duc in altum was made famous in the modern Church by Pope John Paul II's apostolic letter Novo Millennio Ineunte at the close of the Great Jubilee of 2000, where he addressed it to the whole Church entering the third millennium. The image of Peter's boat on the Sea of Galilee has remained one of the most enduring symbols of Catholic mission ever since.
